- Chilling is a Good Feeling.
The art competition by Amber Nectar aims to bring awareness to the brand and the local arts community in Singapore through this contest. Artists are asked to design an illustration for the Promotional Pack for Berliner Pilsner and Vedett.
Sketch
I wanted to give the beer's bears a differentiating identity - the Berliner Pilsner is targeted towards artists & craftsmen; Vedett is targeted towards hipsters. Though a different audience, the cool and chill vibe is shared between the two.
Final
The colours were too saturated, and the background was too evil looking. Here, I still experimented a little with other background colours.
Form and Colour
I wanted a semi-flat, yet vibrant colour scheme to visually describe the refreshing chillness both beers offer.
As there were many elements at play, I started with a flat colour sketch to easily show the composition & visual hierarchy.
